Our inaugural five-day junior rugby camp brings together quality coaching, small-sided games, teamwork and match play at Bishop Burton College — one of Yorkshire’s most impressive sporting settings and easily reached from Beverley, Hull, Pocklington, Driffield, Market Weighton, Cottingham and the wider East Riding.

- Ages: 8–14 years (school Years 4–9)
- Capacity: Only 40 places
Who the camp is for
Boys and girls aged 8–14 of any experience — from brand-new beginners to established junior club players. Groups are set by age and stage so every child is challenged appropriately.
What children will learn
- Core skills: passing, catching, footwork, evasion and contact readiness
- Attack and support play, running lines and communication
- Age-appropriate defensive technique
- Decision-making through small-sided games
- Kicking, position-specific skills and match play
- Confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of the game
What is included
- Five full days of structured coaching
- Small coaching groups of around ten players
- Friday rugby festival, awards and celebration
- Controlled sign-in and collection procedures throughout the week

What to bring
- Packed lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle
- Rugby boots and trainers
- Sports clothing for the weather, including a waterproof jacket

Coaching
The camp is led by Sam Britton, an RFU Coaching Award-qualified and first-aid-trained coach with junior and senior coaching experience. Additional coaches will be introduced in the parent information pack.
