Everything parents need to know before camp
A practical summary. A full parent pack and final arrival instructions are emailed before the camp.
Timings and location
9:00am to 3:00pm each day, Monday 10 to Friday 14 August 2026, at Bishop Burton College, York Road, Bishop Burton, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 8QG. See the Bishop Burton venue page for directions.
Arrival and registration
Doors open shortly before 9:00am. Please arrive in good time to allow supervised sign-in each morning.
Collection and authorised collectors
Only people listed as authorised collectors at booking, or verified via the camp’s collection procedure using the agreed collection password, may collect a child.
Late collection
If you are running late, please contact the camp team immediately. Repeated late collection may incur a charge as set out in the booking terms.
Clothing and footwear
- Rugby boots (recommended) and trainers
- Sports clothing suitable for the weather
- Waterproof jacket and warm layer
- Change of clothing where appropriate
Packed lunch, snacks and water
Please provide a packed lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle each day. There is no on-site catering included in the camp fee.
Sun protection and wet weather
Apply sun cream before arrival and pack additional sun cream and a hat in hot weather. In wet weather bring waterproofs and a change of clothes.
Medication and allergies
All medical, allergy and support information is collected securely during booking and shared only with the relevant staff. Medication must be supplied in its original packaging with clear instructions. Please contact us in advance if your child has significant medical needs.
Additional support
We welcome children with additional needs and will work with parents to make reasonable adjustments where we can. Please share relevant information at booking or by getting in touch.
Photography permissions
Photography is managed strictly in accordance with the permissions selected by the parent or guardian at booking. See our photography policy.
Behaviour expectations
Children are asked to arrive ready to be respectful, positive and involved. A short behaviour expectation is agreed as part of booking.
First aid and emergencies
Qualified first-aid support is on site during the camp. In an emergency, camp staff will contact the emergency services and the registered emergency contacts as appropriate.
Lost property, refunds and cancellations
Lost property is kept until the end of the week and disposed of shortly after. Refund and cancellation arrangements are set out in our refund policy.
